Since the outbreak of the corona virus back towards the end of 2019, there has been a desperate need for extra precautions to prevent the spread of this possibly fatal disease. As a result of these precautions, strict rules have been put into place all over the world in all businesses and social gatherings, however, the ones who have been most effected are professional athletes. In order to proceed with the professional sports that we all love, the NBA and NFL has it’s players quarantined in what we know as “the bubble” and no outside members are allowed to come in, including family members.

There has been a rise in athletes losing their career opportunities due to them not following the guidelines put in place. The Seahawks recently cut rookie Kemah Siverand for “disguising a woman as a player” to sneak her into the bubble. In the NBA, Rocket’s player Daniel House was kicked out of the bubble for a similar reason. There has been a growing number of athletes sacrificing their careers due to them not following guidelines put in place for the safety of everyone. The rules implemented due to the outbreak of covid-19 have came with extreme consequences for professional athletes.
